Highway Rider

I've been playing a game on the iPhone called Highway Rider. Its very simple, you tilt to steer your motorcycle down the highway getting as close to the other vehicles as you can to go faster and gain NOS. When you finally crash, theres a funny slow motion clip and a list of our injuries and the hospital bill. It is simple and fun to play and you can also go head to head online. Go check it out here.

Real Racing 2

I have been playing Real Racing 2 on the Mac and on the iPhone and I have to say, its a lot of fun. I have been pleasantly surprised by this game. The graphics are pretty good and there area 30 licensed cars that you can race and customize. There is multiplayer, online and local network. I have not gone far into the career mode yet but, I'm working on it. I really like playing the game on my Macbook Pro and using my iOS device as a controller. There is no special app for that either, just point Safari at your Mac and you're ready to go. If you love racing games and have a Mac or a, supported, iOS device, give Real Racing 2 a try. Logitech Joystick for iPad

I picked up a Logitech joystick for my iPad and have been playing around with it. I like it because it helps me not go out of the joystick area designated on the iPad when playing a game. The Logitech joystick is nice to use and you can see through it and sticks to your iPad with two suction cups. The only thing I don't like is that you have to move it to pus something underneath its frame. That has only happened to me on one game and is not, for me, a deal breaker. I plan to get a lot of use out of this thing.

Mechwarrior Tactical Command

I found a trailer for Machwarrior Tactical Command coming to iOS this year. I am a huge fan of the Mechwarrior games and I love the Battletech board game. I'm excited to see what they do with this. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

Dark Knight Rises

I just saw a teaser trailer for The Dark Knight Rises on iOS. Not sure what to think just yet but, being a Batman fan, I'm hopeful it will be decent. Check out the trailer and tell me what you think.

WWDC

Yesterday was the big keynote from Apple at WWDC 2012. There were a lot of good thing announced including, awesome new graphics in the Macbook notebooks. But, for us gamers, they also announced Game Center support in OSX Mountain Lion. Once you upgrade to Mountain Lion you will be able to use your Game Center profile to play games on your Mac and they are adding Game Center challenges so you can challenge your friends to beat your high scores. The feature I like most is, you can play head to head cross platform between your Mac and iOS devices. It looks like gaming on the Mac is getting better! Stay tuned for more updates.

Welcome to the Apple Gamerz blog. Gaming in the Apple ecosystem used to be a joke. It can still be a challenge to find good games worth your hard earned cash. So, I want to help you find games worth playing. I will be reviewing games for the Mac, iDevices and some gaming hardware for those devices.

I cannot wait to jump in and play some games and tell you about them. I would also love to get your feedback. I will be posting my first review soon and can't wait to hear what you all think.
